Básicos de México model is based in circular design. We recycle all our fabric waste and have a Recycling/ Reuse program for our costumers.
Long description
Básicos de México is born out of a genuine concern about how the clothes that we use today are produced. We chose to associate with small cooperatives to guarantee that all of those involved in the process are treated with dignity, paid fairly and valued for their work. The aim of our production model is that all the material resources and labour is made in Mexico. We have also thought in the reuse and recycling possibilities of our garments and their disposal. We save all our waste from cutting our garments and we send it all to be recycled. In 2020 we started our program REcupera which means Recover. In Mexico only 5% of textile waste is recycled. RE cupera is an initiative from BSCSMX to recycle or donate garments for those who need it most, reducing textile waste and ensuring that these are used to the maximum. RE cupera x BSCSMX has two modes: REcycle and REuse.· Recycle: is focused on the collection of garments that have already finished their useful life, will be cataloged and taken to recycling plants. They will become rags, jargons, tufts, regenerated threads, etc. This will be carried out · by the hand of Lucio and his family who have been in the management of textile waste for more thn 30 years. · Reuse: people will be able to donate clothes in good condition· These garments through El Día Después, a civil association that seeks to generate changes through citizen action, will be donated
