Interactive cullet containers designed to promote garbage sorting.

Long description

Bot2Led – interactive cullet containers designed to promote garbage sorting. The transparent body of the containers focuses the attention on the problem, and the pneumatic mechanism makes collecting glass a game. The result becomes a work of art.

Glass cullet containers – one of the the most convenient methods of garbage sorting. But why is glass sorting more difficult to implement in developing countries?

We decided to make an experiment on ourselves – to throw the bottles into a container and listen to our feelings and emotions. As a result, we experienced the pleasure of the sound of broken glass, but the involvement in the process seemed to us insufficient. We did not see the moment of destruction of the glass, as a result, we did not receive a rush of endorphins from splashing out aggression and strength.

What to do to get people to start sorting garbage and have fun?
Solution – The container must be transparent so that the glass collection cycle is fully visible.
The pneumatic mechanism increases the launch forces of the bottle and minimizes contact with hygiene surfaces. It is installed on different sides of the cube so users can interact with each other. For example, arrange a kind of battle.

A programmable LED panel is installed at the bottom, and in the evening BOT2LED turns into iridescent light installation. Many colorful shards in their own way refract light and create a unique color pattern.
