An awareness community campaign to recycle used plastic bottles that have cluttered the community in exchange for cash.
Long description
Rural communities in Nigeria struggle to dispose their trash. There are large heaps of used plastic bottles littered all around the grounds of the communities.
Our idea to set a mini plant in the Itedo Community in Lagos State Nigeria where residents are able to drop their used bottles for a little cash. This will not only generate income but will also relive the community of the unsanitary heap of waste which affects daily hygiene, drainage and will create jobs.
The plant will process the plastics to reusable products like plastic bags and trash bags. These products will be sold and used to develop the community for future projects such as playgrounds, a basketball court, a youth community training center and much more.
