Our idea is to challenge the concept of ‘single use’ and the mindset behind it, by involving the consumer in building their own carrying bags.
Long description
The items that we most carefully and efficiently use, are the ones which have an emotional connect or a story attached to it. Like a piece of jewelry that once belonged to your mother, a card gifted to you by someone special, or that wonky pot that you made with your own hands in your first pottery class. It is not about the monetary value of the object itself, but the value that we associate with it.
Idea Summary: One Sunday morning, a family of four plan to do their grocery shopping and then head for brunch. They enter the super market and spot a craft station where they can build their own bag. While the father gathers the groceries, mom takes the kids to make a bag. Depending on the long list of groceries the mom picks up the biggest bag. The father checks on them in between, while they figure out how many pockets they need inside the bag. That’s when the fun starts and kids get to decorate their family bag. Once the shopping list is complete, the family heads to the counter to finish their purchase. This newly created bag takes care of everything and goes home with his new family.
A month later, a new shopping list is ready. While the parents pull out the car and plan a good Sunday , kids bring the grocery bag they built last time!
