A Stylish Product Engineered To Create A New Fashion Trend.
Long description
Our Stylish clothes were once scraps on the factory floor.
Textile is one of the industries that exercise maximum pollution to Mother Nature, in just 20 yrs. our taste for fast fashion has doubled our textile waste. Manufacturers and designers in the mainstream fashion industry discard on average 15 percent of materials en route to production. The majority of it ending up in landfills.
The Urgency to upcycle textile waste.
BUNKO JUNKO’S aim is to create an environmentally sustainable product by Upcycling textile scrap and its contribution to the socio-economic upliftment of the community.
Bunko means art decoration creation in Japanese and Junko from junk.
BUNKO JUNKO as a label is a blend of sustainable and innovative design. We upcycle textile scrape from the manufacturing unit. We design, deconstruct and develop chic garments using industrial waste, dead stocks, and sustainable material. Every product has its own story and no two garments or products are the same. We try to adapt this thinking in our design process- where clothes are comfortable and utilitarian, made up with upcycled as well as in our production process where we try to work on a zero-waste policy. Everything from post-production is put back into use through various kinds of patchwork, knitting of back fabrics, making accessories, Awards, lanyards, paper.
Our mission is to create beauty from textile waste upcycling that is as environmentally conscious and socially responsible as possible and progress toward a new philosophy about what waste really means and how we address it.
