The project starts with the aim of “bringing customers closer” to IKEA and that is to make them protagonists of the eco-sustainable corporate change that is taking place. The aim is to make them become protagonists!
The name is in fact CINY which is the acronym for circular IKEA near you; circular because it is IKEA near you but also you near IKEA (see logo).
The first step is to give IKEA FAMILY a green edition connotation with the possibility of collecting green points that entitle you to discounts or other concessions to be defined.
The second step is to create a Start up aimed at the study and creation of eco-sustainable packaging obtained through bambù plants (fibers). The name would be PIB (IKEA Bambù Packaging).
The third step is to raise the awareness of customers, and potential customers, on the recycling of cardboard, plastic and the PIB of packaging of IKEA products and to do this we try to encourage their collection. IKEA NEAR YOU is in fact the part of the project that foresees a movement of IKEA towards people and at the same time people approach IKEA therefore YOU NEAR IKEA.
The idea therefore has three objectives:
- Raise awareness on the correct collection of waste
- Use of bambù for the creation of eco-sustainable packaging
- Making customers become protagonists of an eco-business and therefore at the center of change
