Circle is a web application and chrome extension that helps our users shop sustainably full-circle! We encourage users to be eco-friendly shoppers by awarding “circle points” for being more mindful of their consumption. These points can then be redeemed for coupons at participating brands, stores and small businesses that promote zero-waste, secondhand clothes, or reusable container programs. 

When shopping online at participating stores, consumers can open our “Circle” chrome extension to save items of interest for later purchases. When an item is added to the cart, the “Circle” chrome extension pops up to share how many points will be redeemed by returning the product container. Once users finish a product such as a shampoo bottle, they can easily return the container via our app for a refill or simply return for “circle points.” Our app provides users with pre-paid shipping labels to return their products easily and tracks the entire return process to notify users of when their return has been received so their points can be redeemed. We hope that this points system will encourage users to not only shop at more eco-friendly stores but also encourage a culture of reusing items like bottles to reduce packaging waste.
