From the achievements of the Humanitarian Pivot

Planet Earth is in danger if we do not save it immediately

Long description

Our project is based on educating the Jordanian society about the dangers of climate change, and its negative effects, since the rates of desertification in Jordan are increasing, and the Dead Sea is receding every year at alarming rates, in addition to Jordan being one of the world’s poorest countries in water.

The Jordanian people can contribute to preserving the environment and reduce the emission of harmful gases if they are educated in this field, and their attention is drawn to the necessity of acquiring everything that is environmentally friendly, as well as raising the interest of researchers in this field, and encouraging them to prepare scientific research.

On the other hand, culture, literature, and art can be used to educate Jordanian society about the dangers of climate change, such as using theater, story, poetry and plastic art. This needs a campaign in this direction, and encouragement of talented people to direct their talents to serve climate issues.

In Global Humanitarian Pivot for Development and Research; a research center, we noticed the semi-absence of a societal culture about climate, not in Jordan alone, but in most countries of the world. What people need today is to simplify concepts and issues related to climate, and to transfer them from the closed scientific circles to the level of the masses and the people in general; this is because the ultimate goal of science is targeting the audience, and improving the standard of life.
