Dudu Dunia empowers people and households to transform their organic waste into rich fertilizer. We believe people with the right tools, knowledge, and the support and inspiration of a community of composters, will bring the real change in making our cities cleaner and greener. People just need to know that the power lies in their hands. They have to be aware of the impact of their waste, and be offered a simple, yet beautiful solution to process their waste. Dudu dunia is a catalyzer in this task.

We have designed and developed a set of tools for home composting adapted to different types of homesteads either with a balcony or garden, in a simple kit that has guided instructions for composting from day one. We accompany the composting heroes with support through a whatsapp group, so they have a constant helpline.

We expose the composting kits to families in different ways. We are establishing demonstration sites in schools, parks, institutions that want to showcase our products and utilise them. We have developed a compost and vermicompost training, which will also be available online, that we share with different audiences, including children. We are working on two educational books, one for children and one for composters, that portray urban Kenyans embracing composting and vermicomposting.

We are committed to providing accessibility to every household the means and knowledge to process their organic waste.
