Cycle

Cycle is an in-place garbage sorting information project.

Cycle project will visually present to the consumers the circulation of material resources, namely, how their purchases become trash after use, how sorted waste becomes raw material for new things. It is assumed that the Exposition will be located in the parking lot of shopping centers. Cycle is a large art object stylized as a rubik’s cube the size of a five-story building built from 25 used shipping containers (type DC). Containers are easily and quickly stacked; construction of them is a trend in eco-architecture. Friendly design of the magic cube, familiar from childhood, will make Cycle recognizable and understandable. There will be garbage sorting signs on the cells of the cube. Collection points for sorted waste will be located on the ground level where consumers can recycle their waste. Consumers will be able to buy or receive souvenirs – magic cubes produced by the Rubik’s brand, the Cycle project has been agreed with. LED media facades of video screens (12×12 meters or 5×5 cells of each facade) will be installed on one or two adjacent facades.
