Rainwater harvesting system base on plastic waste.

Long description

Our proposal has the goal to collect and use rainwater to generate a positive  impact in the cities. In order to do so we develop a series of recycled plastic bricks that capture and flow the water through them. We take the first 15 minutes of acid rainwater and  store it  until it reaches a pressure valve, which then passes the water through sand and rock filters until the storing tower is full. A pump activates through a sensor and the water starts running down, watering the plants. This with the intention to grow vegetation that will reduce the CO2 emissions of the nearness cars and also incentives bees and hummingbirds to return. The remaining rainwater is stored for its use during the dry season, when it rains rarely up to 2-3 days in a month.
