Textile waste is a huge problem. Worldwide, we buy 60% more clothes compared to 15 years ago and we throw them away twice as fast (source: Ellen MacArthur Foundation). Every second, the equivalent of one garbage truck filled with textile is landfilled or incinerated (source: United Nations Environment Programme).

More than half of our clothing and textiles still ends up in the regular trash at home. In addition, some of the clothing in the textile containers on the streets is often too contaminated to be reused or recycled. It means 235 million kilos of clothing are incinerated and wasted every year in the Netherlands. That has to change!

Drop & Loop is a new and better way to return used clothing and textiles. That’s good for the world, because most worn items can be reused or recycled. It’s also good for you, because our solution will save you money. Help make worn clothing sustainable and circular!

Drop: Hand in your clothes at a Drop & Loop point near you.

Loop: Your clothes get a new lease of life through reuse or recycling. Anything that can still be worn is given a new lease of life. The rest is used to spin new yarn, which in turn is used to make fabrics. From those fabrics we make new clothing or other sustainable products.
