Innovative system using digital platforms to reduce textile waste through corporate waste management.

Long description

For every kilogram of textile fabric produced globally, 0.6kg of oil equivalent and 2kg of Co2 are emitted into the atmosphere.

In Colombia, the average amount of waste from the textile sector is recycled or reused only reaches 5%, the other 95% that remains can end up in sanitary landfills, generating a degradation process that impacts both the atmospheric component and the soil. Eco-Trade will be in charge of managing and organizing textile waste from the industrial sector through an application, in order to optimize these resources from a collaborative economy and thus generate a solution in climate change.

In this platform, large companies can report the stock and inventory of textile waste that they have as a result of their production, this in order to sell them to SMEs at a lower price and help reduce waste.
