The problem:

The life cycle of items is too short, with people too quick to throw away items that could easily be repaired or turned into something new. Especially younger people who have grown up with a system built on convenience.

The solution:

Make the craft of repairing and reusing cool again. We’re already starting to see pockets of this in youth culture – a generation that is creatively minded. We are seeing upcycling and reworking trends start to bubble up.

Let’s make the most of this, giving this behaviour a place to live, a place to thrive and bring more people into that lifestyle and outlook on life.

The idea:

If Depop is the marketplace of resell, FixUp is the marketplace of reuse and repair.

FixUp lets you find fixers in your area. Whether you need a pair of jeans patching, a pair of sneakers customising or a bike frame painting – on FixUp you can find it.

Search by category, location and more. Find people to repair, upcycle, customise and create.

FixUp isn’t just a marketplace, it’s also a social feed where Fixers upload their projects, with people having the ability to like, share and follow their favourite fixers.
