Utilización de la pasta de aguacate para la creación de alimento para ganado que disminuya el impacto negativo al ambiente y mejore la calidad de vida
Long description
How to recycle food waste from agroindustrial processes to the most efficient use? How to transform a waste product into food? How to generate management processes which at the same time can design production processes towards a circular economy within the avocado oil agroindustry in Mexico? How can we break with the linear production system that prevails in the agroindustry and which is mainly responsible for the increase of greenhouse gases on our planet? How can viable solutions be found and move from the design of alternatives to strategic action in the management of agroindustrial waste? The project presented seeks funding to design, implement and evaluate an avocado waste management system program (through a solid business model). Avocado waste, initially, is being generated by 7 avocado oil production plants in the State of Jalisco, Mexico, which represents about 72,000 tons per year of waste (that lacks from a management system). The objective of the program is to transform this waste into nutrient-rich, natural, bacteria-free and low-cost feed for livestock consumption (mainly beef cattle in their early stages of development, as well as goats and sheep in their final stages of development). The above specific objective, in turn, seeks to contribute to a more global objective, which is to generate a circular economy proposal, promoting social responsibility on the part of the producing companies. Preliminary feasibility studies have been carried out and so far have been favorable for implementing.
