The project will use solar equipment to generate and distribute solar power to communities in Kenya.

Long description

Solar energy which is so abundant in Kenya, East Africa, is hardly used for heating and lighting. Instead most households use firewood for cooking and kerosene lamps for lighting. A few of them use electricity which is very expensive.

In view of this the project endeavors to convert the abundant solar energy into solar power that can be used for cooking and lighting. Solar power is clean and cheap energy that can be available for use all the time. It involves the procurement and installation of solar panels and other solar equipment to generate and distribute solar power to consumers. This will reduce costs and maximize the utilization of solar power by communities in Kenya.
