Public spaces built from living plants to reduce the use of industrial materials.

Long description

Nature is the most economic and sustainable system, in it there is no waste. In this project, we explore its ways of creating, shifting from the actual production paradigm into one of growth. We minimize the use of industrial materials by working together with nature, learning from its designing methods.

As a result, we designed an alternative way of constructing urban spaces from living grass and soil. These spaces allow people to interact with the ecosystem, increasing the quantity and quality of green areas in cities. Living furniture brings a notion of coexistence between people and their natural environment.

This particular set, uses modular construction to replicate some of the most common forms in urban landscapes. This way we create habitable spaces where human and other living organisms can interact in a balanced and beneficial way.
