Waste generation accountability.
Long description
My idea aims at coming up with a solution on how to reduce the tonnage of waste that is being disposed at major waste disposal sites in Nairobi and its environs. How do I intent to achieve this:
1. Establish waste segregation systems right from the households, all cooked food leftovers should collected in one dustbin which is properly labelled. The left overs can be dried and used as animal feeds.
2. Companies should have proper channels to ensure traceability of their used products and develop proper systems of managing their wastes right from the end user.
3. Wastes that a consumer cannot recycle should be taken back to the manufacturer for proper management and handling.
