Durable locally made batteries manufactured from decaying Irish potatoes powered automated systems (drone) and propellers from made from plastic
Long description
AgriDroneTech recently worked on a project termed “IoT Based Automated Agricultural Monitoring and Control System for Smart Farming”, Improvement of the livelihood of 75% local farmers through agriculture to boost food supply and to encourage and attract youth engagement in agriculture. We designed a smart automated system (drone) that will carry out activities such as soil scan, surveillance, spraying of fertilizers and insecticides, maintain crop health, estimate yield data for weather analysis and more recently the inclusion of a distributed ledger blockchain system that stores data collected from sensors. These sensors provide information such as temperature, oxygen content, humidity and plant images. This information is applied to the artificial intelligence model, which helps detect plant diseases and can predict the possibility of a fire incident. It will also help farmers to allow timely protection of crops from pests, save time and cost for crop scouting, secure high yield, optimize agriculture operations, and increase quality crop production. Aside from buying the relevant materials, We designed a survey of 5 multiple-choice questions. Out of the 425-sample population, we received a positive response of 410 (96.5%) farmers interested in embracing the new technology, and 10 (0.23%) responded and who were comfortable with the existing system while 5 (0.011%) left no response. 80 farmers who recently used this system to monitor their crops, spray insecticides, detect crop diseases, and determine the humility of the soil were overwhelmed with this technology. Several awards were won through this project.
