Wasteplus bucket fastens the breakdown of kitchen waste without smell. The waste smells like pickles.
Long description
Wasteplus is a socially and environmentally responsible social Enterprise with a simple objective, to encourage separation of waste and semi recycling at the house hold level through innovative “WastePlus recycle buckets” that use fermentative bacteria to fasten the breakdown of foods and vegetable waste without smell. A compost juice is also producing that is used as a liquid fertilizer. Reducing the wastes that would otherwise be dumped in landfills into a locally available high quality organic compost. However the benefits of Wasteplus go far beyond the compost production. our aim is to create co-existance with nature and advocacy of the value of waste. we wish to become an example and a key contributor to a sustainable ecological economy through: (i) Creating value instead of waste and reduce green house gas emissions; (ii) providing long term jobs to the urban poor and excluded in a market economy and (iii) helping farmers to produce organic and high quality vegetables and fruits.(iv) Support education through waste donations in schools. “waste to books” (v) create a platform where residents can exchange their waste for subsidied organic vegetables
- reduce dumping in the landfill significantly
- create value from vegetable waste
- create jobs for the marginalized urban poor
- produce a locally available high quality organic compost for farmers
- reduce use and reliance on chemical fertilizers
