São Paulo is the largest brazilian textile hub, but it comes with 63 tons of textile waste generated daily in a few regions. Also, some brazilian brands use slavelike labor inside this industry that is the second most polluting in the world. To redefine this scenario, kordakrua brings multifunctionality combined with circularity and creativity as its proposal for change.
Kordakrua is a brand of multifunctional accessories that wants to reframe the relations between people and objects. It questions the status quo established in the unsustainable linear production system by encouraging usability experimentation. We build a culture of repairs and reverse logistics, setting a circular chain to mitigate impacts.
Our production is based on ethical, circular and sustainable suppliers, bringing substrates recovered from factories and clothing industry, printing and stamping on fabric is done through a social program to improve ex-detainees quality of life and low-impact inks.
The result is simple, scalable and affordable: a printed fabric scarf. Simplicity challenges waste and exacerbated consumerism, because by practicing multifunctionality, the useful life and usability are maximized. Kordakrua wants to build a creative and experimental culture, making it possible from clothing to hair accessories to bags, made by tying and folding techniques on a single product.
The brand consciously plans the entire chain for product maintenance and circular disposal. This encourages upcycling, the transfer of the product to other owners and also returning used products to kordakrua to be recycled and resignified in other by-products through reverse logistics.
