Loco-Lotion is our idea of the future of nutrition. It will be a nutritional food-replacement that will be applied in the form of lotion. We see it being used in many different settings: a quick option for busy people, in medical situations for people who physically can’t eat in a typical fashion, and even for people with food allergies who have trouble finding food options that work for them. We truly think that the possibilities of Loco-Lotion are nearly endless. Loco-Lotion will also reduce the harmful environmental impact that is a by-product of the food industry. Food is the largest component of municipal solid waste, contributing around 24% of the 146.1 tons that were landfilled in 2018. Loco-lotion significantly reduces the need for food processing and packaging plants, and cuts down on food waste. The carbon footprint of farms raising animals for food is also drastically large and harmful, which our product could reduce. Because our aim is to make the loco-lotion company completely “green”,  our product would come in seaweed packaging/containers. Seaweed is biodegradable and seaweed packaging has one of the lightest footprints available for distributed packaging options.
