MYGO Containers™, Sustainability Without Sacrifices.

Long description

Even before the coronavirus pandemic, the US was generating an estimated 82.2 million tons of packaging and containers annually according to the EPA.  While a bit over half of this is recycled, well over 1/3 is going into landfills. With most inside dining options closed for the better part of 2020 and remaining closed in the first quarter of 2021, the take-out food market has increased exponentially in commercial foodservice applications like restaurants, bars, and pizzerias, as well as institutional dining applications like college campus dining outlets, K-12 school lunch programs and senior living meal services.  Along with all the other challenges created by the pandemic, the use of styrofoam and paper carryout boxes has skyrocketed creating an added burden in the collection and disposal of food packaging waste.

Reusable to-go containers are a simple solution that can alleviate this increase in waste.  While not the first reusable to-go container on the market, MyGo Containers™ focus on functionality to create a better experience through better design.  Research uncovered that mess free transport and keeping foods separated are concerns when getting meals for carryout. MyGo Containers™ are thoughtfully designed, high-performance, reusable to-go containers that address end-user concerns and reduce food packaging waste to lessen the environmental impact caused by the increase in to-go meals.  By providing the end user with a better experience, using MyGo Containers™ promotes sustainability without sacrifices.
