agroforestry systems, syntropic agriculture, poor neighborhoods, conscious.
Long description
My project is to implement agroforestry systems, syntropic agriculture in vacant lots in poor neighborhoods. Give lectures on environmental awareness, waste reduction, conscious consumption, for children, parents, grandparents, aunts, all people in need of information. I imagine that to seek food autonomy is to greatly reduce the emission of polluting gases. The food we consume must be produced and transported over long distances. So, a lot of water, fuel is needed. Syntropic agriculture does not use herbicides or pesticides, that is, guaranteed food without pollution of air, soil, rivers, without poison. A community garden brings people together, makes the place more beautiful, honey flowers would be planted throughout the neighborhood. People would be happy, they would have information to live better and take care of the Earth. Nobody wants to be poisoned, but when you have no other option, you end up having to consume products from agriculture and livestock, monocultures. I’m just a student worried about garbage and environmental devastation. I believe that big changes are necessary, our bad habits need to be radically changed. My project is simple, it does not imply a beautiful and wonderful design, but the cost is low, we will work with nature, we will bring people closer to nature. We will plant and teach. Humans only care about what they care for, what they see up close. Before creating products, we need to rethink, to learn, to teach, to change.
