A solid toothpaste that fights plastic waste, by reusing eggshell waste in a circular economy and zero waste approach.
Long description
98% of the French population eat eggs in 2017
15 billion eggs produced per year in France
40.000 tons of which are produced every year in France in eggs factories.
How to reassert the value of eggshells waste in France including the notion of circular economy?
“Poulette, la poule qui a des dents“ is a little organic solid daily toothpaste for children that will teach them the right ecological gesture for zero plastic waste from an early age. Made from eggshell powder rich in calcium carbonate, this natural ingredient prevents the formation of plaque, revitalises and strengthens tooth enamel. It is also an abrasive agent that gently cleans baby teeth. For healthy teeth from an early age. It is important to develop good habits from a very young age. This is why I decided to target children from the age of 6 years old because it is at this age that they are more autonomous thanks to the learning of reading and therefore to involve them in the tooth brushing ritual but without forgetting the parents who are the first buyers. This is why, in terms of communication, in view of my double target, I have oriented my graphic research in order to convey a message that is as valid for both of them. To stay in the world of eggs and shells, I decided to choose moulded cellulose for my packaging because it is sustainable, environmentally friendly, compostable, biodegradable and it is a plastic alternative.
