Manufacture carbonized and biomass briquettes.

Long description

Briquettes are compressed blocks of coal or other combustible biomass material like charcoal, sawdust, woodchippings, shredded paper, or agricultural wastes or biomass. It is used as a cheap source of fuel/energy. When produced in mass, they can be used industrially for large boilers for fast operations Agribusiness Solutions Ltd has identified an opportunity given the mass wastes all around which can easily be converted into clean sources of energy. The wastes if left becomes a nuisance to the surrounding. The business has employed young people to assist in the collection of combustible wastes, sorts them, and prepares the briquettes for both home and industrial use. These wastes include coffee hasks, rice, macadamia, sawdust, bamboo, etc for biomass briquettes. Other wastes used in the production of black soldier flies for poultry farmers. This is because of their affordability and high protein content, which facilitates growth. In this way, the business idea helps in reducing wastes from the surrounding while creating sources of income for young people involved in the collection. The business has since received orders from individual households and industries like Nyayo Tea Factories, Kenya Breweries Ltd, poultry farmers, etc to supply in mass but the capacity of production is lower. It is on this premise that Agribusiness Solutions Ltd is bidding for funding to expand and scale the business to reduce wastes from the surrounding while creating a sustainable source of energy to many households and offer a source of employment to many young youths.
