Public Food Project

Create "Edible city, a world where people can continue to live"

Long description

Introduction

If you live near the mountains, you can collect wild vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc. In many cases, there is a river in the mountain area where you can catch and eat fish. In some cases, you may hunt and eat birds and animals. In addition, if it is near the sea, there will be an opportunity to collect fish and shellfish and seaweed as a matter of course from childhood for food.

Then, how about urban areas? Except for jobs and hobbies, there is no other option than to buy food. In urban areas, the “food,” which is the basis of living things, is left to the economic activities of others, and I felt a sense of crisis and doubt that I had to entrust life and death in exchange for my own money, so I decided to design this project.

Outline of the project

The city plans to plant fruits and vegetables in roadside strips, trees, storefronts, gardens and other places where possible, and set up a rule that anyone can pick and eat the fruits and vegetables once they grow.
It can be grown by anyone, planted by anyone, but not occupied by a specific person.
Public food should have some kind of announcement plate so that everyone can understand the rules. (→ Issues: expansion of recognition, etc.)
Conposters are placed at important points, and fruit skins and vegetable waste are composted and reused.
