Long description
The project seeks to create a woven covering for doors, windows, and balconies using as main material plastic bags and PET bottles, one of the main current pollutants on Providencia Island in Colombia. For this purpose, the existing artisanal techniques will be used for the treatment and creation of fabrics with wild pine and banana leaves. This, to highlight the traditional knowledge and also to capture the identity that represents the raizal community in the new houses designed by the government, which were proposed to recover the infrastructure lost after the passage of hurricane iota on the island.
