Recycle Me! is a mobile app which empowers consumers to use less plastic and to dispose of their plastic waste properly. 

Scanning items on store shelves, we are providing information about products and packaging, consumers make educated choices. Specific information is displayed which shows what plastics are used and where, if at all they may be disposed of to enter the local recycle stream

A knowledge system is at the core which provides a wikipedia of plastic. This allows consumers to explore a product’s packaging, health impacts, recyclability and more. This system is coupled with extensive mapping of the user’s local waste management capabilities, connections to proper disposal of specific types of waste and instructions on how to dispose of waste for recycling.

These systems will encourage consumers to make proper purchase choices and guide them to dispose of waste properly.
