ISPLASTIC… is fantastic.

Long description

The project involves the study and design of a reusable packaging prototype in recyclable plastic and how to manage this packaging at the supply chain level.

The basic idea is that the plastic packaging of some IKEA products (but not only) such as sheets and duvet covers is made like resealable bags (IKEA istad) and reusable. At the checkout counters it is removed (like the hanger when you buy clothes) and sent back to the supplier so that it can be used again. Customers go home with the product that has only the cardboard ring (on which the characteristics of the product are printed) so that the product does not open. The plastic packaging will have printed a bar code so that it is easier, during reuse, to understand the intended use (ie for which product is good).

The name of this reusable packaging is: ISPLASTIC (where IS stands for ISTAD)
