Reward People for Less CO2

The aim of our project is to develop an ecosystem that rewards people for making more sustainable choices. Companies and governments can choose to offset their carbon emissions through people in their own city and/or country by rewarding those who choose to make a more sustainable choice (thus not emitting carbon where they would have otherwise) a CarbonCoin which are spendable on local products that come from local entrepreneurs.

We aim to use blockchain technology to monitor realtime carbon emissions in order to verify people are indeed making more sustainable choices. The four steps we have in mind would be as followed:

1. Quantify the emissions that an individual did NOT produce using realtime data in their dashboard
2. Determine how many CarbonCoin tokens are linked to that quantity
3. Link a company that is looking to purchase offsets to cash-in the tokens
4. Provide individuals with a CarbonCoin token that they can use as a currency to purchase products that are planet friendly.
