Selfie

Long description

It is called “Selfie”, because of first work in about slaughterhouses and what they are doing. Actually, I’m not a vegan or even vegetarian, but I hate when animals are in any stressful condition (huge chicken farms, slaughterhouses etc.). Having a farm mustn’t be stressful for any creature that humans have domesticated thousands of years ago, that’s a legacy of ours, not a legacy of torture. So, briefly, this is the first work.

Second work is about nuclear energy that, for my opinion, my cause catastrophe any time (like Chernobyl, Fukusima etc).

Third one is about my country where bulldozers and excavators are digging everything and that already seems a terrible disaster, a killing of an earth that gives people (should give if we don’t make giant concrete constructions and metal mines everywhere around Georgia or, in my language, Sakartvelo). At this moment when I write this project description, catastrophe is happening, land is sliding on the North-West of Tbilisi and hundreds of buildings and  thousand of people feel unsafe, waiting for something extraordinary and extremely dangerous.

Last work is about FUR that is used in these days. Celebrities (actors, singers), couturiers and models wear and propagate clothes from animals who are killed and used (also kept in terrible conditions that I’m not able to talk). So I started my description with animals and will end with animals, that we should apologize for being such an animals, not being Homo Sapiens, especially Sapiens. This is a Selfie of Homo Sapiens.
