With SERAFAKO, we offer tracking and traceability system for packaging waste sorting to engage consumers and producer companies in eco-responsibility. SERAFAKO is a technological device that on the one hand encourages consumers to sort packaging waste through obtaining eco-gesture gratification and on the other hand makes it easier for producing companies to recycle their collected waste to reduce their environmental impact. SERAFAKO system uses :

• Identification card with QR CODE as a waste sorter for each citizen
• Smart bin equipped with an integrated code scanner to scan each deposited packaging and a sensor to know the fill-level of the bin,
• Website where data on collected waste for each company and consumer can be viewed instantly.

No obligation for a user in a developing country to own a smartphone.

SERAFAKO offers a simple process:

• Scan your identification card to open the bin
• Scan the waste before throwing it in the bin

Once finished, the user will be instantly informed about the quantity and type of waste he/she has deposited in the bin as well as the gratification obtained. The information is sent to the user mobile phone and on the SERAFAKO website. Likewise, the company can also see on its professional account on the SERAFAKO website the total amount of waste that its consumer customers have deposited.

Motivating each consumer thanks to the traceability and the gratification of his/her eco-gesture is the concept of SERAFAKO to increase the performance of waste sorting
