EcoGen is a leading social enterprise operating in Malawi that seek to integrate biogas technology and sustainable agriculture to reduce food shortage, poverty and climate change by deploying biogas technology and training to small farmers. We manufacture, sell, distribute and install small and medium biogas systems to convert waste into biogas energy (clean energy) and bio fertilizer for economic, healthy and environmental benefits. Biogas system process is carried out using small and medium decentralized fermentation units for local processing of available organic wastes such as agricultural waste, kitchen waste, etc. into clean energy and bio fertilizer. We produce biogas using tubular biogas plants. This product produces much biogas from few wastes, 3kgs of kitchen waste or 10kgs of cattle manure = 2 to 4 hours of cooking on biogas and 5 hours of lighting. Biogas system process is carried out using small and medium decentralized fermentation units for local processing of available organic wastes such as agricultural waste, kitchen waste, etc. into clean energy and bio fertilizer. The organic waste remaining in the bottom of the tank, also known as slurry, can either be processed and marketed as fertilizer or can be used for personal gardening or farming.
