There is no greater blessing in life than having children. Children, however, come with an enormous environmental toll. They grow and develop rapidly, especially so in the beginning. They constantly need new products – be it clothes, toys or other goods. Around €525bn worth of new children’s products are produced annually. Producing that colossal amount of products at the expense of our natural resources and combining with an extremely short usage time is a disastrous combination.

Due to lack of systematic reuse & recycling practices, most of the children’s products end up as waste in landfills, incinerators or oceans, never re-entering the economy. So not only has the current consumption model severe impact on our environment but hundreds billions of euros go down the drain as well as only the fraction of the potential lifespan is used. Hand-me-downs and second hand trades may offer some way to combat this waste-producing and money-draining problem but we believe that we have found a way to close the loop.

Solution:
Circular turnkey marketplace allowing:

• Private individuals and brands/retailers to offer children’s products for rent
• Customers to rent products for their children on a monthly basis for the fraction of the original cost through subscription model, saving money, environment and space.
• Reverse logistics, inventory management, insurance, cleaning & repair services included
• Products are rented out and used to the fullest potential
• Then repaired, upcycled or recycled through the network of our partners into new products or materials, producing zero waste.
