Imagine you're sailing on a clean lake and suddenly a terrible reality opens up to you: garbage envelopes everything around, and there is no end to it.

Long description

One person produces 10 kg of plastic waste per year. Not a big figure. But if you think globally? Our planet is a home to 7.594 billion people. Humanity produces about 200 billion plastic waste per year. 13 million tons of plastic waste ends up in the ocean annually (80% of the waste in the World Ocean). This number is scary. However, the ocean is huge, so it is difficult to comprehend the scale of the problem of plastic pollution in the ocean, while we see only 10 kg of plastic waste. When we hear the word «lake» or «river» is mean for us a clear water surface and a transparent bottom. Will something turn over in a person’s mind if he stops thinking within the framework of one unit and sees the full scale and contrasting reality – all 13 million tons of plastic waste in front of his eyes? How is this possible? Imagine you are sailing in a boat on a clear lake and suddenly a portal opens in front of you. You plunge into it and have a different reality: a «blanket» of plastic waste, envelops the surface water and diverges for hundreds of kilometers, it envelops you too. Still have no idea how? Then look: to turn a person’s mind over, we only need a few plastic bottles and mirrors – with their help, we will help people see all 13 million tons of plastic waste in the ocean.
