We’ll introduce children to the life cycle of toys, encouraging them to consciously consume, rescuing circular economy practices.

Long description

Our proposition is to introduce children to the idea of where toys come from and where they can go after they break, get old or get out of fashion. We want to inspire children, in a playful way,  to be an aware consumer and encourage them to reclaim repair, reuse, exchange and share practices.

The project has 5 stages:

  1. Prototyping of Online Course: Use dialogue with children to make improvements and ensure that the final course is suitable for them.
  2. Online Course: Video lessons that will deal with the life cycle of toys and examples of what to do when the toy is old, broken, obsolete or out of fashion.
  3. Guide “How to Upgrade Your Toy”: With tips on reuse, repair, and guidelines on how to host a toy swap and share event.
  4. Mobile innovation lab: Developed through replicable and open social technology, where children can repair, make new toys, play and learn about conscious consumption and circular economy.
  5. Swap and sharing platform: To enable the swap and donation of toys among children.

We believe that the project will empower children and make an important impact with their parents, families and the entire community.
