Toynovo is circular economy platform that evades CO2 and impacts child development in order to build a more equitable and sustainable world for all.
Long description
Toynovo is a Circular Economy platform that matches offer and demand of toys, books and baby equipment, in order to promote learning through play in a cost – effective and CO2 evading model.
Toynovo makes the play ecosystem effective through monetizing with a renting program, and articulating with foundations that serve children and families in vulnerable communities. Through the foundations, Toynovo recirculates toys and promotes play workshops in order to spread the importance of play for child development.
In the world, 260M children don´t have toys to play, and their families are not aware of the importance of generating positive relationships through play. This leaves a development gap between high and low income children. Toynovo proposes a cost-effective model, that has toys as the excuse to promote child development. The model has crossed subsidize.
On the other hand, according to Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation, the Toy market is $90Billion size, and 80% of toys end up in a dumpster. With an average toy cost of 30 USD, and a plastic weight of 2kg. (For 1 kg of original plastic saved, we evade 3.5kg of CO2), the world produces 21M tons of CO2 per year in toy production.
Imagine if Toynovo´s model expands globally and evades at least half of this CO2: we would have a greener and more equitable world.
