Waste production has increased at alarming rates and our recycle capability simply can’t grow as fast as it’s shaped nowadays. TrashBuy, a solution based on Germany’s Pfand system has come to change how we interact and perceive our household waste. We offer our consumer an alternative to regular trash bins, a machine capable of understanding waste’s material through AI, storaging accordingly and rewarding our consumer with a direct cash transaction to her/his bank account, the amount depending on the waste material and size. TrashBuy brings a fresh perspective on how to solve pollution problems impacting the ones who can actually make a big difference: each one of us. The solution’s first draft could be tested at larger scale in a B2B approach with big condominiums (product acquisition) and evolve until everyone can recycle and benefit financially from it in their own house (product leasehold). TrashBuy initial setup would be focused on plastic, metal, glass and organic waste. The concept of logistics last mile would be applied to collect recycled material compartments filled on the bins (locked boxes) redirecting directly to their buyers (recycle companies). Decentralize recycling would be a major breakthrough to support the amount of waste produced nowadays and its projection of growth. This is the call to a new level of fighting pollution on the planet, one that will happen indoors.
