Handmade durable art from knitted plastic mesh bags.
Long description
Since 2019 Aryewinder turns plastic waste (brightly colored plastic mesh net bags of fruit and veggie packing material) into unique pieces of art (be it figurative, abstract or symbolic) by cutting, knitting and glueing techniques. All pieces are 100% handmade with love and dedication by Aryewinder. Many (>20, and still growing!) help him in the collecting proces of the various colored plastic mesh net bags. In 2020 Aryewinder was interviewed -with one of these art objects- for the local talent award (Rijswijk Talent Award) by a Dutch journalist (newspaper: Groot Rijswijk). Later he was also interviewed by Straatnieuws with his second made collage object. With these pieces of art Aryewinder wants to make you aware of our (antropogenic) plastic pollution (e.g. oceanic plastic soup) and consumption footprint pattern interfering with System Earth.
