Up-Cycle Scrap Materials

This project proposes up-cycle scrap material by construction waste and shows opportunities for scrap waste as a product design material.

The construction industry is thinking about how to dispose of construction waste. At this time,  our project will focus on methacrylic engineered stone.

The product that we will present is a Corian stone, which is also known as Methacrylic engineered stone.

Methacrylic engineered stone is mainly used as a kitchen counter or tabletop.

Methacrylic engineered stone has excellent workability and a very good design as building materials.

Even if  Methacrylic engineered stone being processed as a top plate and will become scrap, they still have excellent workability and a very good design.

Therefore, we propose to collect the processed scraps, process them by color, and use them as materials for product design.

Even if you combine scraps, you can find value as an up-cycle material because the seams are beautiful and feel good by matching the colors.

This project requires a company that can collect scrap materials and processes them to design new products.
