Long description
The capsule collection w.e.s – what eccentric specs! was developed with the purpose of providing a consume experience that respects the ethical values of the millennial generation, while answer to their yearnings about the fashion industry, of self-assertion and exclusivity. The trends of the ophtalmic market were also analyzed, mostly related with the use of new and diverse materials in the glasses production.
Produced with the recycled HDPE packages used by one of the University Restaurants of the Universidade Federal do Paraná, the glasses propose a re-signification of this waste. In this way, this material is inserted in a new production cicle, increasing its lifespan and joining a circular production model.
The models designs were inspired by director Wes Anderson’s nostalgia, a very usual feeling in the Millennial Generation. The incredible nostalgic universes from three of his movies were used: The Royal Tenembaums, Moonrise Kingdom and The Great Budapest Hotel.
