Walgae communities is a holistic approach to a waste management system that utilises algae and produces polyhydroxybuthyrate (PHB) for bioplastic production. This design is situated in communities that are trialling greener communities to produce bioplastic which can be 3D printed for obtaining or replacing plastic commodities. Every year these communities celebrate and compete on who makes the most bio-plastic.
