Humans are generating too much waste but cannot deal with it sustainably.

Long description

Limbe II is a cosmopolitan and coastal rural area with population of about 60 to 80 thousand inhabitants. Following the Anglophone crisis, Limbe II is considered as a safe haven for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), thus causing a high influx of these people into the host community which is Limbe II. One of the greatest challenge in Limbe II is managing waste coming from households, small enterprises and companies that retail plastics and other disposables. The effects of waste in this community are; poor health, poor sanitation environmental pollution, flood and many others. The goal of this project is to reduce waste and its associated effects in the community. This will contribute to meeting up with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 6, 11, 13, 14 and 15 of making the world a better place by 2030. This project will introduce innovations on waste management. Limbe II which is the beneficiary community will experience an improvement in Sanitation and health by the end of this project.
