A waste reduction program that repurposes agricultural wood waste through collaboration with farmers.

Long description

Currently, there is a rather obvious abundance of agricultural waste in the world, more specifically tree & wood waste. In California alone, construction and demolition (C&D) take most operating expenses for waste disposal and reusability. This is the main method to combat waste.
Our solution is more viable and calls for less funding. We propose the no wood waste initiative. This takes trees and other forms of wood waste and turns them into wood products that are not only cheap but environmentally friendly. In this, we propose a program that encourages the refusal of these finite resources. Through our program, we plan to create connections with farmers and producers of the waste. This would ensure the usage of viable wood and assure farmers that it will have no lasting effects on the consumer.
This will take a large percentage of waste and repurpose it but will also allow states and countries such as California to allocate their budget towards other waste removal services or projects. It will also reduce the rapid effects of deforestation as wood is sourced from this program. This all happens while staying healthy for our earth and population and reusing the materials in a way that follows the idea of “take less, make better, and handle smarter.”
