With our worldtrip "Beautifully packaged" we want to inspire people to deal with packaging in a way that is beautiful for people and nature.

The foundation Fair Trade Eindhoven wants to motivate people to contribute to the Global Goals. We would like to move towards a circular economy in which NO WASTE is the norm. Fair Trade Eindhoven develops projects in which participants reuse materials and at the same time make their statement on how to contribute to a world in which ‘people planet profit’ is leading.
After a successful “worldtrip” in the theme of “stop waste”, we now travel under the theme “beautifully packaged”. In our minds, we will go on a journey to be inspired by the many cultures, colours, shapes and techniques in which things are packed – close by in the Netherlands and far away in various countries of the world. But we also want to examine the “dark side” of packaging. How much is packaged unnecessarily or for single use only.
During this “worldtrip” we want to discover and learn from each other how we can package our daily things “beautifully” – beautiful for people and nature. The insights will lead to interesting designs and creations. We believe that when something is making us happy, we are willing to change our behaviour. That is why we want to use our creations to inspire and challenge everyone – young and old – in a beautiful way to deal more consciously with packaging by using less, reusing and/or recycling. Within the project, we will 1. Research, 2. Create, 3. Present / Communicate, and 4. Inspire.
