Yours to remember is a non-profit organisation that retrieves postal-delivered clothes and creates a moulded vase with the textiles received. The Residual clothes that aren’t used in the vase are either recycled or sold by us online. The vase we create is a memorabilia product for friends and family alike.

When a loved one is lost, the next of kin will at some point have to clear out their belongings. However, this task can be difficult. Some people are unable to find the correct homes for the clothes and either begin hoarding the property or trashing them instead. This isn’t a small amount of waste we are talking about. The average UK resident owns 25kg worth of clothes at any given moment. Our service aims to tackle this textile issue by turning all these textiles into a memorabilia piece as well as responsibly recycle/reuse any excess textile.

The vase Itself is compression moulded with the textiles and a glass binding agent which makes the product look translucent and glossy. This helps with the visibility of the textiles inside, adding to the sentimentality; you choose the colour of the vase! Let’s say your friend had an overworn red hoodie that they loved but had to go. Our product can be used to cherish that hoodie and stop them from throwing it away.

This kind of example shows we can also widen our target market in the future and sell our service to users who want a memorabilia product.
