Misuse and disposal of pharmaceutical waste is an increasing concern with impact on Nairobian safety and community wellbeing. over a decade and pegged available published data.70% of the pathogenic isolate diagnosed from human clinical sample are resistant to first line Antibiotics poising a threat to human health and community well being.misuse of drug and poor disposal of pharmaceutical waste has been identified as key drivers in the resurgence of Antibiotics resistance leading to high cost of living and those from poor informal settlement poor water and sanitation bear the brunt .we are called for action.kenya pharmaceutical and poison board records collection of over 63000kg of this waste worth 6M.80 of t this waste is generated from expired,unused drugs,change of prescription, recovery from illneness from hospital and home based treatment.others from pharmaceutical shops and kiosks.whereas this is a threat to human health and environment,4M Nairobian cannot avoid and access medication.atleast one in 10 die every month dues to lack of drugs.zephawaste seek to solves this problems by provision of disposal bins and boxes all-round nairobi city for safe disposal not this waste.we also wish to track and recove drugs which can be still be reused and provide for those are urgently in needs we also we also wish to educate and train Nairobian on the importance of proper disposal of waste product and its benefits in climatic mitigation.
